The colors come from Spiral Dynamics, a model of how human values evolve. Each color is a value system — a way of answering 'what matters most?' People and cultures move through them as life conditions change. No color is 'better'; each solves problems the earlier ones couldn't.

Blue — Order: tradition, rules, discipline, doing things the right way. Gift: stability and integrity. Shadow: rigidity.

Orange — Achievement: strategy, results, science, winning the game. Gift: progress and competence. Shadow: materialism, burnout.

Green — Community: inclusion, consensus, care for people and planet. Gift: empathy and fairness. Shadow: indecision, relativism.

Yellow — Integrative: systems thinking, flexibility, fitting partial truths together. Gift: seeing wholes. Shadow: detachment.

(The full spectrum runs wider — from survival-focused Beige up through holistic Turquoise — but these four are where most modern adults live and work.)

Your assessment estimates your color lean — the values that currently drive you. Practices then stretch you toward the others: the achiever practices stillness and community; the communitarian practices systems thinking. Balance again — always balance.
